Richard Teare
Dr Richard Teare the President and co-founder of the Global University for Lifelong Learning, is one of the world’s leading researchers and pioneers in developing programs for self-empowerment of individuals and communities in the world’s poorest nations.
Prior to his current role, he held professorships at four UK universities including Oxford and has been a journal editor for more than 30 years. For the past 20 years, Dr. Teare has travelled the world, creating programs in countries such as Papua New Guinea, often in remote villages that lack electricity, water, and the basic necessities of life.
He is the author of Lifelong Action Learning: A Journey of Discovery and Celebration at Work and in the Community (Amazon, 2018) co-author of Lifelong Action Learning for Community Development (Sense, 2013) and Designing Inclusive Pathways with Young Adults (Sense, 2015) the first and second in a Brill | Sense Publishers series of books about GULL’s work with communities.

Edward Mooney
Edward Mooney is Chairman, Global University for Lifelong Learning.
Edward has more than 30 years experience in corporate development for publicly and privately-held enterprises, including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, business development, investor relations, corporate communications and corporate governance. He has also served as an officer, director, and advisor for a number of companies in a wide range of industries including education, telecommunications, clean energy, agriculture, and financial services. Edward is currently a Director and the Chief Administrative Officer of an international telecommunications company developing advanced networks in Mexico and other Caribbean markets. He also serves as an advisor to companies engaged in technology, agriculture, and healthcare. Previously he was a co-founder and president of a U.S. publicly-traded education and training company. He holds a Masters Degree in Education with a focus on educational technology and a Bachelors Degree in Geography from the California State University system. In 2007, he co-founded the Global University for Lifelong Learning with Richard Teare, GULL’s President.
GULL’s co-founders are people of faith and we are passionate about the pressing global need to provide development and empowerment opportunities for people of all, cultures, traditions, faiths, and ethnicities especially for the low paid, disadvantaged groups and the poorest – globally.

Danielle Gidan
Danielle Gidan is GULL Impact’s Director of Development and leads the organization’s efforts to expand the reach and impact of the Global University for Lifelong Learning through strategic planning, expanding both corporate and non-profit partnerships, and building sustainability through fundraising initiatives and education.
Danielle holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration and Social Enterprise from USC Price School of Public Policy and a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Santa Clara University. She has served as a social enterprise and corporate social responsibility consultant for over 10 years as well as having experience with institutional investment groups assisting with the disposition and acquisition of investment properties. In the past she has has worked with Not-for-Sale, a global initiative to stop human trafficking, Shanti Bhavan, a rural residential school in India, and Arts Ignite and Teach for India (TFI) to integrate the arts into the academic classroom.
